Chapter 38 in Marketing and Management Sciences, 2010, pp 208-212 from World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd.

Abstract: AbstractThis research project aims to identify customers' critical wants and needs as success factors of E-Government in Austria. Although Austria claims to be Europe's No.1 in E-Government and despite government initiatives starting years ago, innovative tools such as the Citizen Card remain relatively unknown and hardly. Plowing through existing literature on the topic one can not help but notice that there has been substantial research undertaken regarding organizational, political, technical and process related issues of E-Government. However, the successful communication of available E-Government services to the citizens and insuring the satisfaction of their wants and needs has not been the centre of awareness, which will therefore be the research aim at hand.
