Abstract:
AbstractThis paper deals with optimal choice of a R&D project within an industrial enterprise, when depreciation of idle intellectual capital (IIC) is taken into account. For this purpose, (i) the characteristics of the entrepreneurial environment as regards relevant knowledge level and (ii) the time expected to lunch the R&D project in relation to depreciation curve are also considered. The methodology described is heavily based on multicriteria analysis (MCA) in its fuzzy version to count for uncertainty. A case example referring to R&D in a pharmaceuticals company is presented and the results are discussed.
