Chapter 73 in Marketing and Management Sciences, 2010, pp 427-430 from World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd.

Abstract: AbstractContemporary society, which is characterized as "Information Society", with the rapid development of new technologies and the digitization of information combined with computer science, created new perspectives in the education structures. The needs for continued and systematic education are increasing, while some factors as the lack of time and the geographical distance from education centres (Universities, Training Organizations etc) make the traditional education methods insufficient (for example, lectures, presentations, manuals) and non flexible, in a rapidly developing learning society with the continued development on international level. This presentation seeks to explore the field of distance learning (E-learning) and the relations between education and learning.
