Abstract: AbstractSmall-medium enterprises (SMEs) are an essential source of growth, employment, entrepreneurial skills, innovation and economic and social cohesion. This article examines the difficulties that a large amount of small-medium enterprises face in order to facilitate effective decision-making and policy. The reason that we chose to examine the particular subject is to identify these difficulties. The most important findings of the study are that the SMEs appear to have a very limited knowledge of the overall spectrum of competition practices.
