Chapter 5 in Knowledge Governance and Learning for Organizational Creativity and Transformation, 2021, pp 75-94 from World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte. Ltd.
Abstract:
In the organizational context, in order to support Knowledge Management, implementing mechanisms and procedures of governance are needed. Besides Corporate and Knowledge Governance, a governance that recognizes the knowledge, its mechanisms, and the processes that favor the learning, from the individual to the organizational level, called Organizational Learning Governance (LGov), is indispensable. Thus, this chapter’s goal is to present a framework that points out the definition and the interrelationships between the mechanisms, components, and environment to govern knowledge and organizational learning. To this end, a qualitative, applied, theoretical, propositional research was carried out with exploratory and descriptive steps by bibliographic means, using an integrative analysis of publications raised after a narrative review and systematic search of international and interdisciplinary electronic databases. In conclusion, it can be stated that the processing of LGov requires four mechanisms (Knowledge Management, Knowledge Cycle, Learning Cycle, and Knowledge Governance), four components (Dynamic and Self-Organizing Capacity, Reliable Information, Shared Mental Model, and Shared Vision and Common Goals), and two Learning Environments (BA and 8Cs).
