Abstract:
The year started off with the NFL commissioner Roger Goodell (who is paid a reputed $35 million/year by the owners) enforcing the four game suspension of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. The claim, called deflategate was cheating by using slightly underinflated footballs. Since other top quarterbacks like Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees pointed out that different quarterbacks preferred different types of footballs, all this plus the fact that New England won the disputed game against Indianapolis by a huge margin, to me was nonsense and a great distraction from the game. It was likely Goodell in a power play.
