IMPACT OF FOOD AWAY FROM HOME ON CHILDREN'S DIET

Wen You () and Rodolfo Nayga

No 22239, 2003 Annual meeting, July 27-30, Montreal, Canada from American Agricultural Economics Association (New Name 2008: Agricultural and Applied Economics Association)

Abstract: Poor diet and inactivity are key factors for the high incidence of obesity among children in US. Using household production theory, we derive the demand for children's health and apply cross-section and pseudo-panel techniques. FAFH has negative impact on children's HEI in both analysis and significant in cross-section analysis.
