Abstract:
Although the government of South Africa has had some impressive achievements in the past two decades, it still has many challenges remaining. Specifically, the rural landscape still needs concerted efforts in order to fight poverty, inequality and unemployment, among others. It is important to note that the majority of the poor live in rural areas.
