Abstract: This document outlines, in graphs and figures, ERS research findings about the incidence and costs of foodborne illness in meat and poultry, and exposure to pesticide residues on fresh fruit and vegetables. It was prepared as a briefing for staffs of the House and Senate Agriculture Committees.
