QUIP: Understanding Clients Through In-Depth Interviews

Unknown

No 23735, Practice Notes from University of Sussex, Imp-Act: Improving the Impact of Microfinance on Poverty: Action Research Program

Abstract: QUIP (Qualitative in-depth individual impact assessment protocol) is a practical method to help managers of microfinance institutions (MFIs) better understand their clients through market research or impact assessment. Most managers would like to know who is benefiting and who is losing out from their services, and why this might be. This is vital information if they wish to design services that are effective and useful for clients.
