Business Register Documentation: Production
Javier Miranda
CES Technical Notes Series from Center for Economic Studies, U.S. Census Bureau
Abstract:
This paper discusses production schedules, tasks and maintenance procedures performed by CES staff on the new Business Register files. The expansion and redesign of the BR along with development of the LBD has made impractical CES's past practice of simply making available complete copies of the SSEL (now BR) files. Some of the issues that have been identified include the following: (1) Timely retrieval of all relevant BR files from EPCD servers. (2) Archiving at CES of all relevant BR files. (3) Creation of relevant extracts for CES- and RDC-based users. (4) Developing documentation. (5) Production Schedule and Tasks.
