Abstract:
Prior to simulating claims payment for the employer-sponsored plans reported in the MEPS-IC database, Watson Wyatt examined the file to ensure that key variables needed for the simulation were completed with plausible values. This document summarizes that review process, as well as the data edits and imputations that were implemented to address the limitations found.
