Abstract: This note describes the construction of a set of confidential crosswalk files enabling the identification of financial services trading firms in the U.S. economy. The effort links firms that report on the Survey of Financial Services Transactions between U.S. Financial Services Providers and Foreign Persons (BE-180/185) conducted by the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) to the Census Bureau's Business Register (BR). The files are available from 2007 to 2020 with planned annual updates.
