Abstract:
The cluster concept has become an effective tool in industrial policy, which is supported by the European Community's coordination of different instruments. Different approaches to this concept led to innovative clusters. In Romania the concept was approached in 2009, and the cluster support has been assured through various policies and projects. Clusters are well aligned with the modern approach of "open innovation" which depends on the strong interaction between the academic research (universities), the dynamic entrepreneurship and availability of venture capital (private sector) and the policy framework support (public administration).
