Working Papers from European Institute - Political and Social Sciences
Abstract:
This paper is based on a successfully implemented "role-play simulation" of the CFSP that authors designed and then carried out in the Spring of 1999. The aims of this exercise were to evaluate the working of the CFSP and the further to develop simulation techniques in a European atmosphere. The authors conclude that the simulation represented a viables means of better understanding the working and limitations of the CFSP. Moreover, the authors suggest that simulations such as this should become an integral part of the full array of analytical tools when teaching and researching International Relations.
