Abstract:
In our study we have extended the human-resource-based theory of the firm to include small enterprises, by intorducing some stylised facts concerning small enterprises: the dominant position of the employer, the lack of 'classical' management styles and a low degree of specialisation within the production process. We argue that the employer is often the only stakeholder in the dominant coalition.
