Abstract: This study presents an analysis of one of the most important tasks of any innovative economy – innovation policy development. The work provides an overview of the main instruments for implementation of innovation policy and their systematization. Each instrument of innovation policy is subjected to theoretical analysis and examples from an international practice are provided
