Abstract: The question of how many aspects of parenting influence financial decision-making remains to be answered. There is growing evidence of this influence in other situations. In this study, we focus primarily on the unexplored aspects of the relationship between investor financial decision making and the circumstances that prevailed as they grew up. The dataset, from a representative sample of the Swedish population, provides a detailed analysis of the relationship between financial decision making and education. The purpose of the research is to study the influence of the conditions of an individual's upbringing on the processes of making financial decisions. In the course of the research the following tasks will be solved: review of the available literature on the topic; collection of data for research conducting empirical research; analysis of the results obtained.
