Post-Print from HAL
Abstract:
This article analyzes the steps of the expansion of tourism in Cuba, from its origins to the current period (first part). The second part reviews the main characteristics of this sector today, through an international comparison within Latin America and the Caribbean, and presents its singularities, structures and recent evolutions. The difficulties of the Cuban touristic sector, as well as the challenges in terms of development for the years to come are examined in the third part.
