Abstract:
"Active labour market policies aim at bringing unemployed people into work. To achieve this goal, reforms of different policy instruments should take into account lessons on their impacts and implementation. In January 2011 the Institute for Employment Research and the German Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs jointly prepared a report discussing systematically the evidence from scientific studies on different types of active labour market policies in Germany. Here, we briefly summarize this report. We present the key lessons from the evaluation studies and discuss the major policy implications." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
