Abstract:
"This short article analyses the training behavior of firms in Germany. The main findings show that ever more firms in Germany provide 'further training' for their employees. While in 2010 only about 36 percent of all firms participated in further training activities for their employees, in 2014 54 percent of all firms participated in further training activities. In particular, small and medium sized firms increased their training engagements over the last decade. However, the training intensity of small and medium sized firms appears to be more volatile and dependent on general economic conditions than the training intensity of larger firms."
