No 201819, IAB-Kurzbericht from Institut für Arbeitsmarkt- und Berufsforschung (IAB), Nürnberg [Institute for Employment Research, Nuremberg, Germany]

Abstract: "In Germany, unemployed individuals receiving basic social care are obliged to fulfill certain duties. Otherwise the jobcenter might temporarily shorten - or entirely cutoff - their financial support. This report presents results from a factorial survey that was part of an online-survey. Scenarios were presented to uninvolved persons who were asked how large the just sanction would be from their point of view. The report investigates in particular, how assessments vary with the scenario features and the personal characteristics of survey participants." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
