Abstract: Technical efficiency estimates for grain, corn for grain, sunflowers, sugar beets, and vegetables are estimated for collective and state farms in the Stavropol Region, Russia, for the period 1986-88. The technical efficiency estimates then are related to the farm organizational structures, management characteristics, and labor payment methods of the farms.
