Information domain time use: This is the topic of this expert opinion for the commisssion to improve the informational infrastructure between sciences and statistics, which is supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Following a given structure the content encompasses: supplier of information, data situation, employer of data production, financing, law foundation, data protection rules, information dissemination, availability of individual records as well as recommendations.
