No 195, Apas Papers from Academic Public Administration Studies Archive - APAS

Abstract: In a competitive higher education market offering the kind of education that meets the expectations of both the students and the labour market has been fundamental for attracting and maintaining students at higher education institutions (HEIs). The aim of this study was to determine the factors of the undergraduate degree course in administration that cause new students to be attracted. A quantitative research was undertaken involving 409 students who had recently enrolled in four of the five HEIs offering this degree course in Joinville, SC. The two most important factors found were the quality of the course and the relationship between theory and practice.
