The new shock COVID 19 - impact on international trade on a global and national level

Eduard Marinov

MPRA Paper from University Library of Munich, Germany

Abstract: In 2020, the world is going through a new, unprecedented shock - the pandemic crisis with COVID 19, which affects all aspects of development – demographic, social, economic, trade, etc. The study traces the impact of the pandemic on international trade worldwide, then summarizes the trends in foreign trade of Bulgaria in 2020. Forecasts of international and national institutions for the future development of the world and Bulgarian economy are presented. The main results are related to the systematization of some very clear signs of a serious reorganization of world economic geography, as well as to drawing some general recommendations regarding measures at national and international level.
