Published Papers from Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration

Abstract: The report is the first attempt to provide integrated quantitative assessment of the losses arising from the restrictions of competition. Several key areas were selected for the analysis: gas industry, railway cargo transportation, construction, pharmaceutical industry and the restriction of competition from imports. Empirical estimates presented in the report allow us to rethink the role of competition policy in promoting economic growth and development. The work is aimed to experts in the field of competition policy and economic regulation, students current problems of economic development, as well as all interested in the modern development of the Russian economy.
