Abstract:
This paper investigates the impact of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) on landholding inequality among Indian households. While existing studies have focused on growth, industrial performance and changes in structure following industrialization efforts, analyses of the impact of place-based industrialization on poverty and inequality in emerging market economies are rare in the existing literature.
