No wp-2026-52, WIDER Working Paper Series from World Institute for Development Economic Research (UNU-WIDER)

Abstract: Indonesia, like many countries, faces multiple interrelated challenges, including climate change, sustainable development pressures, deindustrialization, and the middle-income trap. These challenges underscore the importance of formulating industrial policies within the green structural transformation paradigm. This study identifies four key technologies that have received significant government attention: biofuel, electric vehicles, refuse-derived fuel, and green hydrogen.
