Abstract: How to conciliate in the dynamics of a highly externalized company, a "relational firm", the joint evolution of internal and external spaces ? In particular, what are the changes that occur in the use of the three generic modes of coordination, hierarchies, markets and cooperation which define the concept of entanglement of ideal-typic coordination modalities ? The enrichment of conventions based on the dynamics of entanglement, and its sociological determinism, actors games that combine conflicts and collaborations within social and socio-technical networks, are at the core of this article. The confrontation of this theoretical model to a concrete case from the electricity sector informs on the possibility of new management tools to conduct the process of organizational change in highly externalized companies.
