Implications of Academic Colonization in Brazilian Scientific Journals in Administration

Marcelo de Souza Bispo

RAC - Revista de Administração Contemporânea (Journal of Contemporary Administration), 2024, vol. 28(1), issue Vol. 28 No. 1 (2024): Jan/Feb, e240049

Abstract: My aim in this editorial is to reflect on the implications of colonization on Brazilian scientific journals in the field of administration. The contribution to the debate highlights how the adoption of publishing and evaluation standards from central countries in the Global North creates distortions in the Brazilian system, underestimating the potential of Brazilian administration journals and hindering the development of researchers in the country.
