Abstract: In the article key provisions of Strategy of Spatial Development of the Russian Federation until 2025 are considered. Theoretical aspects, key scientific bases of the important government document are shown: the concept “the center — the periphery†, or the polarized development. Authors paid the main attention to questions of the spatial organization of resettlement. Authors suggest considering Strategy as the basic document, but not as a set of concrete recommendations about social and economic development of certain regions.
