Formation of the National Security Strategy of the Russian Federation in the 1990s: Conditions and Dynamics

Abstract: The characteristics of the creation of the National Security Strategy of Russian Federation during the first decade after the USSR collapse are considered in the article. The dynamics of its changes under the influence of internal and external factors are also analysed. Russia’s transition from a policy of solidarity with the West to defending national interests is explained in the paper.
