Applying the Strategizing Methodology at the Regional Level: Opportunities and Advantages

Abstract: The article provides arguments in favor of the greatest efficiency and significance, both from a scientific and practical point of view, using the strategizing methodology of a foreign member of the RAS, doctor of economics, professor V.L. Kvint. The use of this methodology acquires particular importance and relevance at the present stage of economic development, which can be described as an «extraordinary period». It is shown that the use of this methodology at the regional level in the absence of consensus not only in terms of the key determinants of development, but also in the very definition of «region», determined by the goals and objectives of a particular study, allows aggregating heterogeneous factors of economic and social development, generalizing the ideas of various economic schools, and analyze them through the prism of opportunities and threats for more effective formation of strategic priorities, taking into account the determining factor of time.
