Russian-Japanese Trade and Economic Relations: Provision and Prospects

Abstract: For Russia the relations with Japan both during the Soviet period and after the collapse of the USSR and formation of the Russian Federation were and remain a subject of considerable economic interest. Communications with Japan have for the Russian Federation special value as on the format they are allocated from general system of the international relations of the Russian Federation with the states of the Pacific Rim. Their feature is that despite fixed finding of Japan in group of the main trade and economic partners of Russia, the interstate relations, owing to the remaining World War II of a territorial problem which isn’t settled after the termination, keep difficult nature . To a certain extent negative impact on commercial ties between two countries is exerted by consequences of «cold war» during which the countries were in the conflicting military-political groups. The main objective of article - identification and assessment of tendencies of a trade and investment cooperation between two countries, and also determination of the problems interfering their development.
