Abstract: The article considers the basic conditions for the formation of scientific and production clusters, as well as their goals and objectives. The role of the state in the development of the cluster and the degree of influence of the cluster on the economy. The analysis of the most promising research-and-production clusters of the Russian Federation, and considered their impact on the competitiveness of the regional economy.
