Civil Society of Russia and Strengthening of Military Safety during an Era of Opposition of Civilizations

Andrey Andreevich Kovalev ()

Administrative Consulting, issue 9

Abstract: The purpose of the article is to consider some aspects of the problem of the influence of civil society on strengthening the country’s military security in the era of the civilizations’ confrontation. The state apparatus seeks to restrain the initiatives of civil society, sometimes doing it rashly. The activities of civil society itself in the field of ensuring of military security and strengthening patriotism are still unproductive due to its disunity and social amorphism. Effective symbiosis of the efforts of civil society and state authorities in the strengthening ofthe country’s military security requires balanced and reasonable steps on both sides. Therefore, patriotism acquires the status of a national idea, for only it can unite the ambiguous aspirations of state power and civil society.
