Abstract: The article is considered the activities of public authorities of the North-West Federal District to ensure information security. Highlights the issues of formation and functioning of the information security system in the North-West Federal District. The main attention is paid to the state information systems, control and monitoring of security information by the FSTEC Office for the North-West Federal District.
