The State Policy for Protection of Cultural Heritage and the Characteristics of Its Implementation in the Primorsky Krai at 1985-2010

Abstract:
It discusses the characteristics of implementation of the state policy for protection of cultural heritage at 1985 - 2010-ies on an example of Primorsky krai. With information from published materials and archival sources it was researched by the activities of federal and regional state authorities; the characteristics of legal regulation for the protection of cultural heritage; official registration of cultural heritage in the Primorsky krai, including the participation of regional state authorities in filling out the form of the federal database «Heritage of Russia». There were regarded causes of the fall of the role of non-governmental organizations for the protection of cultural heritage. It was concluded that opposite trends formed in the field of the protection of cultural heritage in the Primorsky krai at period of social, political, ideological, economic and cultural transformations. Regional authorities at the level of declarations have always stated the desire to protect and promote the cultural heritage of the Primorsky krai, but corroboration of these statements are not always detected in practice.
