The disposable income per capita of rural residents in Tibet was 7471 yuan in 2014. There is a high gap with the national average disposable income per capita of rural residents (10489 yuan). Thus, it is urgent to increase income of farmers and herdsmen in Tibet. On the basis of literature in recent years, this paper analyzed methods for increasing income of farmers and herdsmen in Tibet, major factors restricting increase of their income, and approaches for increasing their income. It is expected to provide certain reference for further expanding ideas of increase of their income in the new period.
