Current Situation of Hemp Industry in Heilongjiang Province and Recommendations for Development

Abstract: This paper first introduced the history of hemp planting in Heilongjiang Province and its main cultivars. On the basis of current situation of the hemp industry, it came up with recommendations for development of the hemp industry, including cultivating and introducing fine varieties, raising the level of mechanization, optimizing industrial distribution, developing characteristic products of the whole industry chain, and strengthening policy support. It is expected to bring into play the regional advantages and build up regional brands of hemp products.
