Abstract:
Unbalanced economic development among counties exists objectively and is a fact generally accepted. Realistic competitiveness evaluation is used to discover the differences among county economic development levels in Hebei Province in order to find out the status of county economic development, to promote the harmonious development among counties, and to offer references for the policy making of macro-economy development by the government. Researchers show that there are great differences among county economics of Hebei Province. Difference between the most rich and poor counties is 20.736 according to the total competitiveness score by index calculation of realistic competitiveness. Development levels of the counties in Shijiazhuang, Tangshan, Langfang and Qinhuangdao are relatively high, while those in Xingtai mountainous area and regions around Beijing and Tianjin are relatively backward according to regional distribution.
