Abstract:
Agrionics, new concept integrating electronics and fam equipment, is projected to have a significant contribution both in the increasing substitution of manpower by machine observed in agriculture and in the control of production costs (best use of farm inputs as seeds, pests, etc.). In the mid-term, conventional tractors and self-propelled machines, should have been highly automatised, and the first achievement of faming robots shouls have appear (fruit crop and cow milking robots). However the growth of agrionics markets keeps conditioned by large scale enterprises, to profit by a "volume-effect" allowing to cut down industrial costs, to set up efficient distribution and maintenance networks, and finally to finance a very expensive research and development.
