Alginit mint kistérségek fejlesztési lehetősége

Abstract: Az Európai Unióba való belépés nemcsak a jövő ígérete, hanem az előkészítés és tervezés feladata is. Ez szükségszerűen magába foglalja az országos és helyi teendőket. A körvonalazódó Nemzeti Fejlesztési Program és az EU támogatás széleskörű lehetőséget biztosit az eligazodáshoz. Mindezek azonban nem nélkülözhetik, ellenkezőleg, kötelezővé teszik a helyi lehetőségek mind teljesebb hasznosítását. -------------- The entry of Hungary into the European Union is not only a promise for the future but also a hard task for preparation and planning at present. This necessarily involves tasks to be solved on both national and local level. The Hungarian National Development Programme, being outlined in these days, and EU support provide ample information in this respect. However, all this cannot do without the complete utilisation of local possibilities contrary but requires them. One of these possibilities is given by alginit, a wonderful mineral, amounting in Central Pannonia to some 150 million tons. This natural sediment consists of fossil alga biomass and decrepit tuff containing 25 per cent of organic matter, some 30 per cent of calcium, and a number of other macro- and mictro-elements.
