Agricultural produces, marketingand supportive mechanism: A study in aspirational districts of Telangana

Abstract:
This paper examines ongoing programme of Transformation of Aspirational Districts focusing on Agriculture and its supportive mechanism. The study covered three districts namely Bhadradri-Kothagudem, Jayashankar-Bhupalpally and Komarambheem-Asifabad and from each district two mandals were selected based on the criteria developed and underdeveloped areas. The study selected villages based on development indicators in due consultation with concerned officials of these districts. The study specifically analyzedexisting market sources and status of electronic markets apart from active agricultural measures. Major agricultural credit found to be private sources as it reported to be heavy burden in terms of interests on farmers. Electronic markets are very important to reduce dependency on middlemen trading of agricultural produces so as to increase the profits of farmers. Marketing of agri-products at Market centers identified by the concerned departments is very essential to bring aboutreal Change in Price Realisation.
