Gentrification of the countryside and its scope

Abstract:
The aim of the article is to describe the changes that occur in the rural community under the influence of the city pressure, which constitute the phenomenon-process of rural gentrification. The social, economic, spatial changes and, so far not described in Polish literature, cultural and psychosocial changes have been characterized. The article attempts to identify the specific features of Polish rural gentrification and to indicate its spatial scope in rural and urban-rural communes.
