Organizational Commitment and O&M Management Quality: Roles of Tacit Knowledge and Trust

Abstract: This study explores the intricate relationship between organizational commitment and operation and maintenance (O&M) management quality in the context of the mobile communications industry. By examining a sample of 468 O&M personnel, the research delves into the mediating role of tacit knowledge sharing and the moderating role of interpersonal trust in the relationship between organizational commitment and O&M management quality. The findings reveal that organizational commitment has a significant positive impact on O&M management quality, with tacit knowledge sharing functioning as a partial mediator in this relationship. However, interpersonal trust is found to negatively moderate both the relationship between organizational commitment and tacit knowledge sharing and the relationship between organizational commitment and O&M management quality. These results underscore the importance of nurturing organizational commitment and tacit knowledge sharing while carefully managing interpersonal trust in order to enhance O&M management quality in the mobile communications industry. The study provides valuable insights for practitioners and researchers seeking to improve O&M practices and achieve higher levels of operational efficiency and reliability.
