Conceptual Functional Model of Mobile Application Accessibility Evaluation System Prototype

Abstract:
According to data from institutions such as the World Health Organization and the World Bank, the percentage of people with disabilities has been increasing in recent years. About 1.3 billion people, or 15% of the world's population, have some kind of disability that can fall into one of the main groups - motor, visual, hearing, cognitive. As technology advances, people with disabilities can perform activities that were previously inaccessible to them. Many computer systems and software may not include built-in accessibility features, making it difficult for users with special needs to access computer resources. That is why the study of the accessibility of software products is of great importance to ensure an accessible digital environment. Accessibility assessment software tools serve to automate the collection of software usage data, their analysis, or the resolution of potential problems in providing digital accessibility. Tools of this type cover three types of automation: record, analyze, and critique. They record user interactions with applications, identify and analyze accessibility issues, and make recommendations for their improvement. In this regard, the aim of this paper is to propose a conceptual functional model of a prototype system for evaluating the accessibility of mobile applications. The main objective of the research is related to the study of existing systems for evaluating the software quality of this type of applications and the attributes related to the quality of the software.
