Abstract: This article examines the economic effects of automation of human resource management (HR) processes with a focus on the Bulgarian market. The main objective is to analyse how the implementation of robotic automation (RPA) and artificial intelligence (AI) affects cost economics, labour savings and productivity gains. Methodologically, the study combines a literature review, case analysis and secondary empirical data from Bulgarian and international sources. The results show that automation leads to a reduction in administrative costs, as well as an increase in the productivity of HR teams. In addition to quantitative savings, qualitative effects are also observed - better talent management, higher employee engagement and satisfaction. In the Bulgarian context, automation is most advanced in the banking, insurance and IT sectors. The conclusions drawn show that HR automation is not only a tool for cost optimization, but also a strategic investment in organizational efficiency and sustainable development.
