Abstract: In connection with the development of communications and entry into the information age, the development of measures to protect intellectual property rights is a very important factor. There is an imperfection of the legislation, as well as security technology, a huge amount of information is readily available, as an example: a huge number of sites where you can download free music, movies, books. However, the development of modern technology provides a person with a lot of savvy possibilities not only to commit a crime against intellectual property, but also to remain unpunished. It is necessary to fight against piracy not only technically, but also legally, establishing and improving laws and legal acts.
